The effect of substrate waviness on random sequential adsorption packing properties

Random sequential adsorption of spheres on a wavy surface was studied. It determined how structure influences random packing properties such as the fraction, kinetics growth, and two-particle density correlation function. Until substrate varies within range one order magnitude smaller than particle's diameter, packings obtained do not differ significantly from those flat surface. On other hand, for higher amplitude unevenness, low-density growth kinetics, autocorrelation function change significantly, while asymptotic seems to be barely sensitive waviness. Besides fundamental significance, study suggests that experimental measurement aforementioned basic monolayers can reveal surface's porous without investigating itself.
